Location: Greater New York City Area

Overview of the Position

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a rapidly growing company in a unique industry. The ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, and a background in sports and/or entertainment business, seeking a long-term commitment to grow and cultivate skills in a fast-moving setting.

This full-time position will be located in the NYC-area, will require traveling to client offices, and may require travel through the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic as new clients are added. A regular week may will include 2-3 days working from our client’s offices in NJ and NYC, with 2-3 floating days where you can either work remotely from home, or a company provided co-working space. On occasion, you may be required to attend / work at sports events which may be on a weekend and or evening. In keeping with our industry, we have to be where our clients need us, so as long as you deliver high-level work, and are punctual for all meetings, you are free to start and end your days as appropriate, and manage your time in response to the demand of the workload.


You will work with some of the NYC area’s top sports teams, events and sports personalities, supporting sponsorship agreements for current, and future Bendigo clients in the health care industry, with responsibilities including:

  • Manage Bendigo key accounts in NYC Metro

  • Supporting sponsorship agreements for current, and future Bendigo clients, with responsibilities including:

    • Primary point of contact, relationship manager between clients and teams, properties, leagues and partners

    • Leading development of marketing strategy and program execution in alignment with client goals

    • Coordination with creative services teams includes graphic designers, production agencies, videographers, etc.

    • Event planning and execution

    • Oversee philanthropic and cause marketing programs aligned with key clients

    • ROI, ROO Measurement / Analysis

    • Research, identification, and selling in new revenue generating opportunities for clients

    • Digital lead, integrating partnership related content into our clients overarching strategy, including

    • Content strategy, development, writing and distribution of social media posts, video development, paid/organic campaigns, influencer marketing, CRM integration, and optimization

  • As we seek new business opportunities in region role can expand to VP, Key Accounts (NE Region), which will include development and running of a NE Region team

  • Support development of new Bendigo business channels


  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in sports, sponsorships, agency, or entertainment marketing

  • Strong experience working with and/or for major sports and entertainment properties

  • Entrepreneurial attitude

  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required timeframes

  • Ability to effectively manage teams across multiple organizations and varying levels of seniority

  • Diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities

  • Familiarity with leading/supporting brand development planning, innovation and creative ideation processes

  • Strong analytical, decision making, influence, communication and presentation skills

  • Strong experience with data and financial analysis

  • Experience with sponsorship sales and activation, able to identify sponsor opportunities on behalf of our clients

  • Highly capable of writing/evaluating/initiating strategic briefs

  • Experience supporting organizational change

  • Highly proficient in MS Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
